Request Additional Team Member InfoTrevor Seipp, PEng
Trevor has over 15 years of experience in the design and analysis of process and power equipment, vessels, piping, and structures. He has extensive analytical experience including linear and non-linear finite element analysis using ANSYS and ABAQUS, buckling analyses, steady-state and transient heat transfer and thermal stress analysis of pressure vessels and piping, fitness-for-service evaluations, and fatigue assessments. Trevor has worked for clients all around the world, who are in many different industries such as oil sands, refining, chemicals, mining, metals processing, pressure vessel and piping fabrication, and aerospace.
Prior to joining Becht, Trevor worked for Fluor where he was the finite element analysis expert for Fluor’s Calgary office, providing finite element analyses and computational fluid dynamics for clients, worldwide. Prior to that, Trevor worked at Syncrude, Wascana Energy, and Imperial Oil.
Trevor received an M.Sc. from the University of Minnesota in Aerospace Engineering, and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a licensed professional engineer in the Provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. Trevor is active in ASME Codes and Standards as a member of Working Group on Design-By-Analysis of Section VIII. He is also a prolific author, writing 19 peer-reviewed papers and presentations to several international conferences, 3 journal articles, and delivering two tutorials at ASME Conferences on “Buckling and Instability Phenomena” and “The New Design-By-Analysis Rules in ASME Section VIII, Division 2”.
